Given this and previous logs I suggest the condition needs to be changed as per this log. I used my charm today but although the land owner was happy to allow me to access the field and visit the trigpoint, because I'd taken the trouble to seek him out and ask, he is crystal clear he doesn't want any further access to his land to visit this trigpoint. He reiterated the previous logged point regarding photos. I suggested I could just take a photo from the road (public) from which this trigpoint can be seen but he again asked not to publish those online. In order to discourage further visits he doesn't want photos posted online. We had an amicable discussion but he is adamant that any further visits are to be discouraged.

The Azimuth Mark is indeed the spider atop the approx 8' 6" high concrete structure. There is also a FB lower down(10034). Sought out farmer, not a man to take prisoners! Reluctantly let me walk across his marshy field to it as 'I'd caught him early in the season and asked'. Not a man to be crossed. He has removed the wooden element of the structure as was becoming dangerous and so whilst I was unable to see the spider he confirmed its existence. He requested I take no photographs (although did snap the FB, and took 2 longer-range snaps from the road) and does not want any more baggers. I would suggest a very stealthy night visit from TQ 64652 05443 (wide rifes elswhere so this is the only realistic spot to attack it from) - and take steps to view the spider.

Couldn't find it 10th Oct 2011  10:30  by Griefmiester

FB Number: Not logged  Condition: Couldn't find it  Score: 3/10

Bad day at the office (part2) found the farm, and set about trying to find someone to ask permission to have a look, no one around so decided (wrongly) to go through gate and over the field for 100m or so to the GPS location - found the spot (well i think i did) was not sure exaclty an Azimuth Mark looks like! - Land Owner arrived, he was not happy and i was escorted off the farm. make sure permission is asked in future, dont make the same misstake i did. Updated 8/7/2013 in view of this information "Pevensey Azimuth Mark ("Spider on concrete pedestal")" I think it might be on top of the crocrete thing shown in my images there are some steps leading to the top. As well over a year has passed I think I could try again - wish me luck!! :)
