2 inch conical bolt cemented into bedrock, listed by OS as Block. Quickly found in mossy depression in grassy area, left the bolt itself exposed. 60m NE from hill-bagging summit

Straight up and down from roadside verge parking at Tarth Bridge to N, over heather/grass tussocks. 2" conical bolt mortared into rock with a light covering of heather, easily found with GPS - OS sketch not being of any use, in fact counter-productive, as just states 'trig sighted at highest point oif the hill', which happens to be ~60m away! With peregrinus... despite us apparently being there 23 mins apart.

Been meaning to do this for a few years. Parked at Tarth Bridge to the north and made a brutal frontal assault, taking in agentmancuso’s pivot on the way. On the top, the Trigpointing App led me to a grassy area where one flat bit looked drier than the surrounding area. A few stabs with the screwdriver confirmed the concrete pad and a bit of digging revealed the bolt about 1 inch down. Nice spot looking north to the Pentlands.

Took a while to locate then excavate this one in the rain, but well worth it in the end. Large conical bolt with dimple.
