Took the track from the entry further along road from car park. A bird making a very strange squawking as we walked up the tracks. Lovely monument close to the trig. Took some time to eat the berries. Cheers.

Errected by 2nd Lord Bagot in 1830 to commemorate the planting of the forest. Cut down after WWI but replanted in 1930. The Earthwork surrounding the monument is known as Llys-y-Frenchines (Queens Court House)
