I can recall the memorial in the 60's when it had a square plinth.

I went to visit this one which wasn't a big ask as I often go to the park to walk the dog. The tricky think was knowing what to look for. Is it a bolt or something similar? Whatever it is my guess is it is at or near the top of the memorial on a parapit? If it was at the bottom on the steps then I think it may well have gone as the steps were replaced this year. Stop Press: I've now been informed that there is no mark and the OS station is the monument itself. Cahnging my log to found and feeling more educated in the process.

Coventry war memorial in the middle of a very pleasant park. As it is an Intersected Station, I assume the memorial is itself the mark.
