Super walk up from forestry entrance, space for 4/5 cars maybe but quiet. Signposted on route so easy to find just follow path. Views over to the Eisteddfod field and beyond before the mist rolled in! Welsh flag brought up here too as part of the festival me thinks! Bolt in place with Cymru Bydd writing on platform. Great site!

Followed track and paths up from south. Another fine Llyn location with a hill fort.

The Bolt was covered in rocks. Looks like someone is trying to build a cairn. I cleared then off.

Approach from CP to S (off B4534) - used forest track then path (quite high bracken in places). Good views.

Really enjoyed it up here, was alone the entire way. Fantastic views of Garnfadryn, Nefyn and beyond. Car parking at the bottom if you can catch it early. Dog owners beware, live vermin traps in operation around halfway up - keep dogs to the path! Amazing ancient fort remains, around 7th or 8th centaury, very interesting.

My last Welsh Marilyn. climbed with a group of friends I used to be in college with some 40 years ago. The biggest challenge was squeezing all the cars into the parking spot at the bottom to the south. Good path all the way up. Celebrated with some Bucks Fizz and so carried away forgot to take the flag out for the pictures. When we went down we went into Nefyn for a look around the Nautical Museum and saw a film that included a bit about the hill fort on Boduan. Found bolt just fine and got picture of it whilst everyone else as standing around it.

1 1/2" bolt in centre of concrete base which is approx 1.5m2. A standard OS 1/4" rivet has been placed mid-way along each side of the square.

forestry access at gorphwysa on b4354. easy route with no difficulties whatsoever. a bit boggy in places. summit commands views which many a bigger hill would envy. Hadn't realised I had my app set to pillars and fbms so was suprised to see this. knew what it was though. Cymru Rydd message has been reapplied..

Lovely walk up and smashing views of this mighty fine area, right at the heart of the Lleyn Peninsula. I was not in much of a rush today so spent a few minutes fashioning a little message out of stones upon the platform. There is a fairly sizable chunk missing from the bottom right corner so I'm going to call this one slightly damaged.

Lovely day and terrific 360 degree views. Platform with single large bolt in centre and four smaller bolts on each side towards the edge. Cymru Rydd in massive letters over the whole platform. Free Wales in English.
