Modern concrete pier, no ground suitable for a SB, the location in hotel grounds some distance from GR I think and Mike's pic doesn't look like a SB: MH cover surround maybe?

Concrete pier location have been in foreground, presumably on an earlier structure

Previously reported as missing, fairly sure I have found the base. Located at the grid reference in the grounds of the hotel adjacent to the pier.

Waiting for the Mallaig ferry. Nothing found; quite possibly gone due to re-modelling of the terminal.

Couldn't see anything from the ferry that looked likely. Could be hiding under the gangway steps stored on the pier.
