So delighted to bag this thanks to the hard work by Rob. Really good find. It’s been a long time since my first go in 2013, with various abortive attempts in between, and although the weather was a bit inclement, it didn’t detract from the satisfaction of eventually seeing the wee rascal. This hill is always worth climbing, no matter what the weather.

Metal rod in block, was under the sprawling cairn. 3m N of N end of picnic table. surrounded by ring of stones remaining from cairn, possibly put there by OS half a century ago. I disposed of the many pebbles and built the larger stones into a cairn 4m E. Popular trail from car park to NE.

Metal rod marker in block between gardening gloves, useful for cairn relocation!

Hadn't realised it was a 'hidden' one when we climbed it and wondered why we couldn't find it! A good walk though, and good views!

No probing or digging implements with me, quite possibly under the cairn. ***Re-visited 10 Dec 2022. Easy find since peregrinus moved the cairn a couple of weeks ago. However, with the ground frozen, bit of a job prising away the stones covering it. Rod marker in concrete block.

Forest has been harvested over entire summit. Looks like building a picnic area on summit. Ground totally disrupted most likely destroyed.

No luck, the cairn is still there now the trees have gone.

Had another go. The trees have now been clear felled and the view is well worth the climb. Despite an hour of searching in freezing rain and wind, still couldn't find the block. Ah well.

In the middle of a thick forest. Obvious summit of hill. Ground covered in moss and there was a small cairn. Just couldn't find the block. Possibly under cairn.
