The summit area looks much altered, but as to where the beast is buried, if it is still there? Surprised there is not a pillar here.

GPS was indicating SW side of the summit mound; probed the ground here but nothing worth digging for. Also spent some time probing on top of the mound, where it would make more sense to sight a trig. Excavated turf from concreted areas, but no bolt found. With Alex and Tony.

The ground has been worked over a bit I think, supports for masts or something similar.

GPS nor compass roamer position not precise enough to find the block. A lot of tussocky grass covering the likely position.

GPS wavering around but logic and partial reading suggests the block will be on the top of the adjacent tumulus, water tank topped hillock. Lots of tussock grass hereabouts did not make for a promising hunting ground.

Mull of Galloway GPS prefered position of block. Tussocky tumulus hill with lighthouse in the background
