Gridref: SC 23298 82569 FB Number: Not logged Condition: Good Score: 6/10

Drove to farm parking near bunkhouse (SC 2375 8260). Walked due W from there, along N side of plantation. 2 very shallow depressions presentd themselves, probed them and second one was the block. Dug away turf to reveal a rod marker, left exposed. Area is quite gorsified, using the OS sketch to make the measurements would have been problematical.

Easy find with GPS, under 2cm of turf, in pasture, clear of gorse, left open. OS sketch not useful nor needed. Accessed from farm immediately below to NE, good parking (bunkhouse and camping) although by the time we'd tracked down the farmer for permission it would have been quicker to walk via the RoW
