Softish ground, we probed for a few minutes but no luck. Nearby features in OS sketch have gone, newish earth bank at roadside, more distant objects are present but not useful as no bearings given.

Good mapped parking area ~180m W. Site is a wide grassed strip between road and airfield fencing. Soft ground, but felt like it had all been landscaped, the 4ft roadside bank not noted on the OS sketch, which in itself wasn't much use as roadside reference points for measuring have been lost or moved (wooden post gone; caution sign replaced and likely in a different position, further back from the bend). Spent ~20mins probing the ground but nothing found worth a dig. Possibly missing.
