Visited whilst on BM hunt in the area, this is also a Trig Station Bolt on BMD.

I couldn't find it either, despite a lot of prodding. It's on the SE verge (OS say), maybe between the two fences, but remains elusive. A nice young chap stopped by us in his car, curious. He nearly nodded off when we told him what we were doing!

Miserable day, so a Sunday march out to blow the cobwebs away. Not too long a drive. Lots of impresive houses around Tunstead. Never realised. Parked on the road yards away from where the Block should be and struggled up to the Obelisk. So many names for such tiny villages. Bad path finding ensued, so we went via Oven Stones rather than Kinder Stones to what we assumed was Sugar Loaf, then probably past Slades on our way to Pobgreen rather than the earlier sdescent. Finally got to the Rye Top lane but no sign of the Block. (Lane looks like a lot of road planings poured over it recently.) Still, The Church was excellent, and very busy. Good sign.

Gps puts this on path up to Rye Croft but couldn't find block on either verge
