Walked out to the original location first but no find , but soon found in the corner when i retraced my tracks nice bm and rod on surface of block.

The block has long since been dug up and moved from its origin location. It now sits just in front of the remains of a wall and a on-stage trees. Behind it is a small area of woodland and the remains of the summer house. The block retains a rod and CBM.

(1501) Field easily traversed. Couldn't find the block, alas. Checking later, I was in the right general area, but just not close enough. Will return at some point. Revisit 26.11.23 Finally got around to ticking this one off the list. Parked across from entrance. Field empty and not too muddy. Quick walk up to the blocks new location. All good. Block with rod and arrow cut. Briefly stopped by the nearby pillar whilst here as well. And has the PRoW been removed? Sign dumped/hidden in hedge and there's no evidence of the route cutting across the field now.

Easily found thanks to jonglew's directions. Block with BM and rod marker at edge of the woodland. Access via footpath then following tractor lines. The ruins of the summer house are fenced off, just inside the wood. Warm rain.

Hedgerow extends a short distance from the woodland, but approx 20m before the SB it's been grubbed up and ploughed. I suspected the SB wouldn't have survived this, which proved be to correct when the block was spotted (at SE 48225 06086) in the corner of the field approx 35m NW of its installed locat. It has a cut arrow and as such is also listed as an OS benchmark.

Edge of field between old wall and track. Brief dusk visit for nearby summit: found a couple of nice flat stones but no SB although no reason to think it's gone.

Along an old wall line which has unfortunately collapsed strewning rocks everywhere. The adjacent field are also very rocky. Considerably better view point that the adjacent pillar (TP3761 Hickleton Spring). This one might be hard to find it it remains.

Summer House if its still there its under all those rocks scattered everywhere
