GPS took me straight to it, smallish block took a couple of minutes probing in easy grass. From SE although parking to E maybe better

Visited whilst on day out with Painterman61, easily found with measurements from lone tree & eon's photo, also logged on BMD.

(304) Parked at Dryden Road, and walked across Manor Park until I was in the approximate location, and then the hunt began. But after much probing, re-checking, and head scratching, in the end I had to concede defeat. All very frustrating as I was probably within inches of it, if not stood right on top of it at times. And then the cherry on the top of the cake was that I somehow managed to break the glass lens covering the camera on my phone. Bah! I wonder if today's date played a part in any of this... REVIST 6.8.18 Armed with the T:UK app and some tools this time, I finally got to tick this one off the list. All it took today was a few minutes of searching.

If not under my feet, then around here somewhere... ©eon

Slightly yellowed square of grass identifies it for the moment; would otherwise have struggled to find this with no nearby reference marks. Good views to west across the lower Trent valley.

2" bolt buried 6cm deep, on break of slope in a well-mown playing field/parkland environment. Friendly local kids came over to ask what we were doing and got a lesson in the joys of trig bagging, and eagerly helped with the following measurements. Block is 45.82m west of lone tree (see photo) and 49.05m south of corner of back garden fences of adjacent houses (again see photo). The block is on the left hand side of the photo which shows both the tree and the fence corner.
