Weather man on the radio threatened rain... but it stayed dry. Large bolt on a small block; NW side of path and hedge. Readily found from Rob's description; the plastic tree guard was a useful marker. Didn't notice the benchmark. A post-industrial landscape.

2 inch bolt in small block, exposed at surface, 1m W of hedge ie inside the woodland. Cut mark with one arrow leg missing hence SD. Via RoW from NW, verge parking

Set out to find four local surface blocks that seem to have recently appeared on the site. Spent some time up here prodding about without success. Think there’s a good chance that it’s still here but will need some gardening.
