Since we were passing on the M1, we made a detour to revisit this one. Now an easy find following Ted's description and was still exposed. Found three different generations of surveying studs along the pavement. A sunny day visit after a stop at local service station on drive north. Well done Ted.

Location by wall - no actual marks on wall itself
View diagonally from survey pin in pavement adjacent - pin is about 0.7m heading north uphill from block
Cut mark and rod
Rod still has yellow paint

N of junction with Inkersall Green Road, E side of road at brow of hill. Overgrown bank between footpath and wall. The sketch for this trig is available from https://trigpointing.uk/wiki/File:TP8562_Inkersall_Sketch.jpg and gives measures of 0.62m from the path edge, 0.70m from the wall and 4.80m along the wall from the junction with hedge. The latter slightly uncertain as the end of the wall isn't accessible. The longer sketch measures, towards the junction and across the road, weren't needed. Spent a while with secateurs to clear vegetation from the search area, after which it didn't take long to locate the trig, approx 4" deep. Rod marker and benchmark. Noted a metal marker in the path; from this, the block is approx 0.65m back towards the junction then a similar distance in from the path edge towards the wall. Block left exposed - should be easy to spot until it becomes overgrown once more.

GR is road side next to the wall. Nothing worth digging for. Busy road.

GPS indicated a position at the brow of the hill near to a stone wall. Kicked the ground about but no signs of the surface block. Good luck to anyone that has a look – think it will need some digging.
