In east quadrant of track junction, 1m NW (L) of hawthorn trunk. Easily found with GPS and pics, there's a fairly obvious entry point although no recent logs on this site. From NNW, parking 200m along farm road from village

(994) Speaking to a local, he said a fair bit of clearing up had been undertaken at the location in the past year or so, and added that the block may now be no longer. But all was good, and soon found. Quite a bit further inside the Hawthorne than I thought it would be - moved maybe? Had to pretty much get down on my hands and knees and crawl to it. Some surface moss and mud to remove, to see the ferrule and arrow cut, but not too much.

In CJO's footsteps once more. Block by side of track; exposed and slightly above ground level.

Surface block with a ferrule standing 10cm proud of ground surface. Located under a hawthorne bush in a surprisingly well cared for location. At the junction of two mown grass paths. 5m to the north of east-west path and 5m east of grass path with windmill several Km away on the horizon to the north.
