(1165) A few folks about at Laurel Farm, so parked at the entrance to ask about visiting the surface block. Heads was scratched as they had no idea there was even such a thing present on their land, but permission to explore was freely given. "If you find it, could you take some photos for us?" So, a short walk through the farm yard and then up to and then along the field boundary, revealed that the block was still present. Sitting exposed and in good condition. Popped by the farm house on the way back and I was invited in and offered a hot drink. A nice chat then ensued, and the couple seemed pleased to now be the 'owners' of a trig-point.

Moss covered block in middle of gap in hedge. Another example of a surface block with ferrule and surveyor's arrow indicating this as a benchmark and trig mark. The moss was very carefully peeled back intact to reveal ferrule and the carefully peeled to recover and we left it as we found it.
