Although Tower 42 (NatWest Tower) is stil there it’s unclear if the anemometer pole is still in place. Bolt inaccessible.

TP8857 Tower 42 now over shadowed by other skyscrapers.

This was probably one of the tallest buildings in the city when the OS surveyed. Its just one of many now, with the gherkin just round the corner. Bagged on a day visit to London for work (Bagging Assistant) while CJO is in Scotland enjoying himself. CJO has visited previously and since

Tower top all lit up for the Olympics. Easy to spot from the near-by areas. Walked down past the Bank of England and thought of the gold bars beneath bmy feet!

Retro log. Think this was still the highest skyscraper in London when i last visited the Capitals centre, which is a few years ago now. Must return, love to see Canary Wharf, the Eye & the Shard

Lucky enough to arrange trip up to top of tower but bad timing as weather began to close in.
