2 of 5 logs today including 3 trigs. As painterman61 viewed rather than a 'visit'. Photos taken on the way back from Blackmoor Skirt trig. I did start walking towards it but turned back as wanted to bag 2 other trigs today.

Walked up from cattle grid to SSE. Handy gate in PW to WSW, then track through heather. Monument possibly dates to 1913 as is supposed to have been erected in celebration of 50th wedding anniversary of Sir Charles and Lady Morrison-Bell of Otterburn Hall, married 1863.

Long been fascinated by this in passing, took adding 'Intersected Stations' to my search options on this site to prompt a visit! Shouldn't have taken that to get me up here - its a dead easy walk along a (mostly flagged) section of the Pennine Way to a metal gate that gives access to Padon Hill. The 360 degree views from here on a bright clear day were outstanding. It's 15-20 minutes from the road, bring a picnic and enjoy this glorious spot!

I arrived at this intersected station to find that I had brought neither my GPS or camera. Interesting spot with good views. On returning to my car I found both camera and GPS sitting on the car roof! Attached photo taken from the road.
