Short length of half inch dia iron pipe drilled into rock and cemented in place. In centre of circle of stones as predicted, 6m S of burn, was buried under an inch of short mossy grass, left open

Parked roadside returning to ferry terminal. Walked approx 80m to trig location. Found no obvious place for this pipe. Poked around some rocks, found an odd stone circle at my logged GR, approx 2.5m across and 6m SE of indicated GR; stones mainly grassed over. Prodded around centre and found a stone but no excavating tools with me. Possible point of search for someone with a spade.
