trig point, flush bracket and pa bolt all to be had at this listed building church. Description: St. Cuthberts Parish Church Category: B Date Listed: 14 April 1971 Historic Scotland Building ID: 40327 The church was built as a Free Church in 1874, architect James Salmon & Son, and the bell-tower was added 1890, architect John Keppie. The congregation, united with the Church of Scotland in 1900, now uses a computerised communication system for hymn singing and visual aids. The pulpit, from St Cuthbert's, Monkton, has been fixed as panels under the gallery. The original St Cuthbert's communion table has been fixed as a panel between two stained glass windows. This is the new parish church built in 1837, and named St Cuthbert's in 1908 after the construction of a second parish church in south of Monkton & Prestwick Parish, called St Nicholas. Although these names are modern, they reflect the original dedications of the medieval churches of Monkton (St Cuthbert) and St Nicholas (Prestwick). The name is no longer current, now being called Monkton and Prestwick North Parish Church, after a merger of congregations.

NS44 T030 POLE. Reported destroyed 7/64. Current pole is a mobile phone mast but suspect it is in the original location given supports on tower and best measurements from ground. Cut BM and bolt to right of door.

Not to be confused with the Monkton and Prestwick North Church in the middle of town. Some interesting history associated with what is presently a "nulife" Centre.

Monkton & Prestwick Church Tower Pole ..unreachable pole.
Historic Plaque.
Monkton and Prestwick North Church ..NOT the trigpoint.
