Stone
From TrigpointingUK
A stone is an uncommon type of triangulation mark in the OSGB36 list. In T:UK they are classified as Intersected Stations. There are 4 instances as follows:
T:UK | Station name | Order | Computed | Block |
---|---|---|---|---|
TP7901 | Brent Knoll | 3 | 1944 | ST57 |
TP10022 | Chars Stone | 3 | 1955 | NH54 |
TP10024 | East Breakwater North End | 3 | 1943 | NT48 |
TP10023 | West Breakwater East End | 3 | 1943 | NT48 |
Only Brent Knoll still exists. The other three marks have been destroyed; it is assumed that each had a distinct reference point or feature which defined the mark location.
