Walked up from Horton the "non-scrambly" route via Horton Scar Lane and down the same way. Although it was rather blustery, there were plenty of sunny intervals and the wind kept the rain away. A very pleasant and not too strenuous walk with stunning views. Summit not too busy, however there were a few people sitting in the shelter close to the trig which was a wee bit off-putting when I was doing my trig photography from various angles thing! Lovely to see another local stone trig and glad we managed to bag one of the Y3P at long last :-D

Visited during a group hike to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. At the time we experienced strong cross winds making for tough conditions. That said it was a great experience and very enjoyable with some great views along the way including Ribblehead Viaduct. This was the first of three pillars and this also offered great views albeit a little obscured on one side by the shelter. It appears to be in generally good condition albeit there are signs of some running repairs and the original centre for the spider has been replaced with concrete or similar.
