An impressive monument. I also looked for a cut benchmark on the base but could not spot it.

A somber grey afternoon, Humber Bridge floats distant beyond the edges of Hull and Lincolnshire. A truly momentous monument with the beautiful keepers cottage atop the very long road down to more normal places.

(1403) Grade II listed Sir Tatton Sykes Memorial Tower. Certainly a very impressive monument, and one that's readily visible from some distance away. Good clear views from this location, with Hull and the Humber visible to the south. There's a BM listed as being on the S face SE angle, but I failed to spot it during this visit.

An impressive monument – pity you can’t access the viewing room up the internal stairs. Strange that the carved panels are only on two sides with two unfinished. The Humber Bridge is visible to the south.
