Security on gate vying with that of the adjacent prison. Believed to be near the AERIAL which is located just 1m away at SE 44537 47283 and has the same OS station number.

Took a look from gate. Got closer a couple of years ago, although I didn't know it, when I had an interview there.

Building visible across carpark from the main entrance. Didn't attempt closer access. The brass mark has a computation date of 1987 but the present building seemed that it might have been constructed more recently than that. So I emailed the British Library and they kindly replied to say that the building was completed in 1961. Possibly its been reclad since then.

Logged as inaccessible - asked at reception and security and was greeted with wide-eyed incredulity not helped by the fact I couldn't tell them what a brass centre mark looked like!
