Tall concrete tank with usual telecoms equipment. So the MAST may be one of these.

Brief flyby after a trackday at the nearby Lochgelly race circuit. I'm curious about the connection with the Battle of Spion Kop, Boer War, South Africa.

Water tower is in a rather rough area, & cowering behind a metal fence, and I certainly wasnt about to start exploring ways to get into the compound!

Both the mast and asphalt disc are noted as trigs on the OS database. However this page is for the disc so it goes down as inaccessible. For those so inclined, if you climb the fence and and squeeze thru the smashed-in door then another squeeze thru chains which block off the ladder access to the roof (or maybe outside on circular frame, either way that's where I backed off...then a condition report should be possible ;) Whole route looks about VS 4a, almost tempted to come back one dark night, all dubbed up...lol.
