Access to town hall on Saturday morning granted after emails and phone calls. Council staff busy preparing for a coffee morning took time out of their preparations to escort me up the very steep stairway to the top of the tower. The tower's external 'floor' has been re-paved at some point in the last 20 years and the rivet (which was 1.25m directly north of the flagstaff) has obviously been destroyed or at the very least covered up. Just missed the chimes of the clock bells on the descent (would have been very loud!) High score thanks to good views of Lerwick and friendliness and generosity of staff.
