Verge parking on Wroxall Down where the road comes closest (SZ 5599 7835). GPS indicating NE side of the RoW; spent 30 mins probing hard ground and exacerbating a pre-existing palm blister! Decimated a good sized area of gorse where the GPS was indicating it might be, but ultimately all in vain as nothing found. Would be difficult to see how the OS sketch might assist here as very little in the way of refernce points to measure from, but feel this one is just waiting to be found.

GPS suggested on or N side of path, stony grassland, hard to probe, no luck. Easy access from ESE.

Another IOW block not readily accessible from road, mostly due to traffic, lack of parking and high, thick hedges. Although we didn;t attempt it, the way to get to this one seems to be the footpath from Wroxall Down which was encased in mist.
