Long grass, hard ground, no OS sketch or other measurements. This was always going to be a lucky find or requiring more persistence than I had time for today - although I did spend a while probbing the ground, a 2m wide strip from hedge to road edge but my prodder hardly penetrated the earth over most of that. It's probably there to be found another time.
