Gate to Southern Water's Chichester Wastewater Treatment Works at Appledram were wide open this morning. Couldn't find a soul so wandered about the place. Found the separation tank where the cut was installed. Walked around its perimeter with GPS indicating the trig was at centre of the tank. Mounted the gantry but declined a walk along the catwalk to centre of the tank; apart from anything else the smell was a little overpowering!
