Parking on grass verge at Old School Road 120m W. Easy find in unkempt verge as pipe nails in both fence post are extant, used the left-hand one to measure from. Cleared away encroaching soil/vegetation etc and left it uncovered, repacing the mug and beer can to aid location. Bolt was measured at 3/4" diameter.

Easy (ish) find, although there are a few holes to be prodded. Crisp packet and paper cup still there so replaced and added a red/blue lager can and white china mug from the debris lying around.

The crisp packet!

1" bolt in rough block, 2.8m from nearest pole of Reduce Speed sign, midway between pipenailed posts, 3.5m from road edge. Buried 4" down in soft mossy turf but quickly found, crisp packet still in place over bolt, which I backed up with a couple of paper cups, hole left open

I was going to ask why it is that Surface Blocks in Scotland always seem to have crisp packets in them. Seems I know the answer now. Still Pickled Onion flavour. Left for posterity.

Pickled Onion crisps... cheers Descarte! Sat upon a rough, natural stone outcrop ...more of a Surface Rock than a Surface Block. :-)

Parked at Wards farm entrance which is big enough to temporarily accomodate a car, in my opinion....walk up the reduce speed sign, look left and step backwards until you're standing between the two fence posts with nails in them then step left three paces. It's about there. Found it easily as exposed although peculiarly had a Walkers crisp packet stuffed in the hole! I've left the packet there in case anyone needs help!

Not easy, but Iainmacs photo helps (as always !!). The trees certainly have grown in the 4 years since he was there mind ! This block would have been right on the side of the road (as is normal) before they moved the road that is...

Sketch is out of date. Make for Reduce Speed Now sign, then fence pin marked on sketch. Measurable from there.
