Located in the grounds of the Coastguard Stn, to the rear. Walked up the front steps and round the back. From previous logs seems lucky not to have been challenged. Odd looking block with a rivet, also listed as a benchmark. Unsure what's damaged about it so have marked it as 'good'.

Tatty concrete block with wooden post and rivet benchmark. We hopped over fence and guy came out and told us to leave. also a P30m summit so 3 ticks plus a ticking off !

Around the back of the coastguard centre with Tricky Speirs. 41 metres and a P34.

Odd looking block! I observed it from the grassy area behind the Coastguard Station building, then buzzed at the door round the front to ask. The chap on the other end of the intercom confirmed that the protruding block with a post poking out of the top is indeed the OS marker!

Surface Block is within Lerwick Coastguard Station compound and access is restricted and may be denied but the Surface Block is viewable from outside the compound. No pillar, no flush bracket number. Weather poor at time of visit but score would be higher if conditions were better.
