Easy find, almost in line with right-hand gatepost, 3m back from edge of road, which is easily driveable; left open by Jon, thanks!

GR was putting me along the fenceline, spent quite a while probing and digging down to several flat rocks. Returned to car and got chatting to an old boy that saw it being installed, we returned but still couldn't find it. Grass is thick, springy and a lot of flat stones just beneath the surface. He said it was between the north edge of the track and the low bank that runs along between the track and the fenceline. ***Revisited 8 May 2023 with the OS sketch. Just 2 of the OS measurements needed (10.94m and 7.2m) to locate the block with a 1" dia bolt. Dense springy grass made digging awkward. Left it open.

GPS took me to wide west verge of track, opposite gateway. Several flattish stones but springy turf difficult to dig with just a trowel, spade might be more successful; 19/5/22 revisit with spade, found plenty of flat stones, presumably from old wall. Systematically digging these out ought to lead to the Block eventually, not difficult digging conditions, but limited time today. Or if the OS Sketch could be found...
