Large water tower, visibly quite striking. Must have been tricky sighting to the centre of it!

Twinning my new found desire for water towers with trigs. Saw this in the distance and thought it has to be...not too sad at missing out on the nearby moved trig this is a fabulous austere creation looming over the edges of West Yorkshire. The miserable groove of the 62 then the open spaces to south and east, Pennine beyond. An old beacon just near - no wonder - feels on top of the world. Heavy skies bring stormy rain in a few hours time.

Easy access at the top of Beacon Hill cul de sac, quite impressive stood underneath, grid ref from the fence line. Just round corner from trig pillar.

(1383) Can be seen from some distance away. Drove up the steep Beacon Hill cul-de-sac, to the compound at the top. Nice quiet area, with good views. 4 trigs in total to be had here.

SE22 023 CENTRE and BOLT. Bolt was NCE adjusted and has a height of 124.6m, while the centre was apparently not so corrected.
