On wide roadside verge, OS sketch works but not needed as rock was partially exposed in long rough grass. Cleared away encroaching soil/grass and left exposed.

On WEST verge, terrible weather wasted 10 minutes looking on the east verge, getting wetter and wetter and more and more frustrated. Rob its is definatly the west verge. Cleared the moss away

Rivet in rock outcrop on E [apparently I meant W!] verge, 1m from road edge, 10m from centre of cattle grid. Was covered by long grass.

Did this on way down from whelpstone crag trig,easy find on rock just past cattle grid.Absolutlely threw it down with hail and rain whilst here!

Nice location - and the roads are fun round here - I drove a Trannie van minibus around this area for a living many years ago.... Found it after a search, I hadnt got the exact details with me but I eventually spotted it after wandering around for a while :-)

Enjoyed the gated road from Wrigglesworth - it makes a change from motorways. Easy to find on stone.

Rivet on natural stone, hidden under moss. Our approach road had 5 closed gates across it - don't go that way alone.
