A run up Broad Hill in the rain with my family - jumped out of the car, raced up the hill (the boy won the race), then ran back down the hill, all in under 5 minutes, as it was raining and very windy! Nice views towards the sea, made more impressive by the fact that it was extremely choppy! Trig point itself has seen better days - has a splash of colour all around it due to local graffiti artists. Close to town, so not entirely surprising.

Heck of an afternoon. Headed for Newburgh but ended up having to take someone to Aberdeen AandE after a cycling accident. Decided to head here to Boad Hill afterwards. Easy to find, close to Pittodrie stadium. Good views all around of the coast and out into the North Sea. Interesting pillar, graffitted but also yellow and grey bands neatly painted around it with a short poem inscribed in them on both sides. 'Imagine peace permanently flowing quietly forever through the prime golden spiral core of your being'. Pillar in decent nick otherwise although missing its cap and plug is infilled with a grit.

Good condition pillar if a bit graffitti'd. FB faces east-ish with east-ish and south-ish sightholes open. Cap missing, cement replacement plug now broken. Great sea views. Easy access up the hill.

Visited while out on my 30 mile cycle during coronavirus lockdown. 4 trig points and 3 March Stones visited today. Broad Hill TP holds lots of happy memories. This is not my first time at the trig as I was a trampoline attandant just below the Broad Hill in the summer of 1978,79 and 80 and came up here for my lunch most days. Today I came up to log it officially.

Accessed the trig via the steps just past the Beach Ballroom. Loved the Aberdeen FC logo graffiti on the trig! Decent views as it was a nice clear day.

Signs of graffiti on the pillar. Full appreciation of the view could not be obtained due to a sea mist and the imminent arrival of cloud rain clouds from the west.

This is where football and trigpointing come together! Here to watch Aberdeen v CS Fola Esch in the Europa Cup (3-1) in an entertaining match with AFC scoring two late goals. The pillar is once again full of graffiti, but otherwise seems to be keeping well in its both urban and seaside setting. This has got to be the nearest pillar to a football ground. Loved it.

Easy to spot from the Esplanade, on business my first visit to Aberdeen had to bag a trig with limited time. An urban trig, still graffiti all over it but a fine fellow looking over Pittodrie with good views north and south along the coast along with a view of The Granite City. Will I ever beat this for Northern Trigs?

On NorthSea coast, lovely artistic grafitti over the whitewash.Cap missing, W sighting open,colourful FB! I've since been reliably informed that this man-made mound is the debris that was dug out to enlarge the Harbour.

Revisit. Public open space called 'King's Links'. This coastal pillar station is less than one mile from Aberdeen city centre. Pillar in good condition. The OS spider cap is missing and the cental pipe is filled with debris. The flush bracket faces northeast out to sea. The Aberdeen skyline forms the background.

First visit. To record FB number. The pillar was completed 14th May 1949 costing £9.15s.0d. In 1950 this marker was computed for triangulation as tertiary station NO98/T10 in the Aberdeen secondary block. The flush bracket was levelled for height in 1967. This trig point was last manitained by the OS on 8th December 2000. First ever Aberdeen trig visit. Visited after dark while staying in Aberdeen on business.
