Well it's a definite 8 for this exotica - only other one's I've visited are Cumbria/Co Durham. Took some finding with just remnants of the cairn remaining - angling ourselves to match the view of the earlier posts got it sorted.

Visited whilst on BM hunt in the area, great find ted. Fantastic 360 views today great weather on day off. Usual buses to Rochdale from Earby M1 X43 464 then the 08.35 458 Lakeline bus to Littleborough. All on the 6.80 Lancashire Day ticket another bargain day out.

Trig located well below the grassy summit. Took a while to excavate with only a trowel. Concrete Ring slightly tilted - couldn't see any lettering. 1.5" dia bolt on rough base. Not obvious why this spot was chosen in preference to the top of the hill; relatively limited views SW. Possibly the farmhouse to the E was used as a reference. Left a mini-cairn as a marker. Bright sunshine and a light breeze - ideal for trig bagging.
