From Glencarron lodge. Good stalkers path most of the way up. Far more boulders than expected. A very dry summit probably due to recent weather. Also included the west top 830m and Carn maire 739m. Rejoined the path to walk along the loch, back to the main path and then back down the glen. Lots of flies in some places. Stunning 360 views and pillar in good condition. Missing cap, no fb.

My Corbett #87, Rosie's 86th. Fabulous day, fabulous views. Although a long walk in through the stunning Glen Calvie (autumn colours in every tree, bright sunshine) the hill feels somewhat 'tamed' by the stalkers path that leads almost to the top. Lingered a while at the summit despite a bitter cold wind savouring the views, identifying peaks, wishing didn't have to go home tomorrow...

Walked in from Amat Lodge to N. Good winter conditions with hard packed snow. Not much seen of the pillar, which was constructed without a FB. With Carole Engel.

Stone-built without an FB ,in good order apart from the spider being open, no cap or plug. Made a circuit from Kildermorie Lodge also taking in the Graham Beinn nan Eun. Previously visited this landmark Corbett 12/10/99. This hill can be easily spotted from many other hills near and far and consequently makes a fine view-point in all directions.

Stone built pillar, the stone being a fine pink granite. The hill is a granite dome, very much like the Glen More Cairngorm and has two tops. The pillar is in a wind shelter and the view id very good, the hill being isolated and in an 'unusual position' well to the east of most high ground. Best access is from Glen Calvie. Dont worry about walking through the very well kept grounds of Glen Calvie Lodge(it looks very intimidating), the road is a right of way, and the locals friendly. Remember the folk of Glen Calvie and spare a moment to remember them at Croick Kirk.
