From Rhoslan on FP marked on OS map but blocked on ground. Did soon pass outstanding neolithic burial chamber near Rhoslan, the highlight of the visit. Trig actually easily accessible on hedge top from field next to road, alot simpler!

Stayed in Cefn-Uchaf guest house just down the road from the pillar with the same name, Trig sits on a small field edge wall easily assembling, Trig does still retain all its metal work

I kinda chickened out on this one. It would have been easy to nip across the field but it was a bit trespassy, so I snapped it from the road.

Starting point for this log was the Lloyd George memorial at Llanystumdwy. Had a pleasant walk following the river upstream until we reached a minor road. We had intended to avoid roads to the trig, but had difficulty finding the public footpath, even with OS map. The trig is easy to find via roads. For our return to Llanystumdwy, we located the start of the public footpath, but then found it to be overgrown with brambles at the start and the apparently fenced off. Gave up and returned on foot via roads.

Easy short walk but beef cattle with calves in next field with opening to trig field meant i had to watch it.Trig on big plinth in vgc.

Parked on lane for the short walk through open gate in to field north of trig point. F.B on northeast side of trig. Trig stands on top of large field boundary wall / bank.

Short walk across a cattle pasture from minor road to N. Pillar sits on a large plinth on a raised field boundary. Original top cap is retained, raised lettering; rear sight hole open. All 4 top corners have been chipped away.

Easily found. Clambered over a gate - not too carefully on return and was captured by two massively thick bramble stems - I bear the scars. Walk through opening to northeast face side to view the FB. One of several in the area on plinths as part of stone walls. Good views to hills around. Just one major one to go - Bwlch Mawr - on the Lleyn peninsular then it's back to Snowdonia and/or Anglesey.

Surprisingly excellent views of West Snowdonia to be had here. The easternmost of the two gates (nearest to Cefn-Uchaf farm) is best for accessing the flush bracket side of the pillar.

Metal plug [raised letters]. Private. Cefn-Uchaf Farm [B&B]. Stands on concrete blocks set in bank between fields. Very easy access for a private farmland trig. Gate into east field unlocked & wide gap in bank gives entry to west field. Close to narrow lane off Criccieth road near Rhoslan.

Square concrete pillar on top of re-enforced earth and stone bank. Fittings intact, not surprising as it is on private farm land!
