Follow circular route through gate from main road. It is cairned off when time to go steeply uphill to reach the trig. Great views.

Parked at the bottom of the gate for this one. Just off the main road. Following a track anti clockwise. Eventually seeing the trig on the hill. I took a direct route up to it from here but there was a slight path further along the track

Used track starting at 823137 NW then NE & eventually entering a forest, where a clearing (cairned) soon appears, & a fairly steep ascent can be made to get to trig. Good views!

Circuitous route to pick up some hills en-route, Lovely spot with extensive panoramic sea and landscape views. Pillar retians original centre cap, raised lettering; rear and LHS sight holes open, RHS plug degrading.

Climbed with MT and met Vegibagger and Chris Watson at the start of the track. If the parking by the track is taken there is room to park just a little further along the road. An easy ascent on the track but the steep slope to the summit is a sting in the tail.

Visited twice within a week as I was staying in Melfort. First was on a foggy, but dry day, using a circuit of tracks from Ardanchur. then a short climb through spruce. Second was on a sunny morning and a more direct ascent from Melfort, following a stream from the east. Best views of the holiday. There is a break in the forest for ascent, on the southeast side of the summit.

Approached this one from the NE, an assault course and a half for anyone who enjoys a real pathless challenge: dense conifer bashing, sudden shin deep bogs, steep rocky ups and downs holding onto heather, good sense of direction required. Pillar in good condition. Spider retains OS centre cap with raised large narrow letters. Flush bracket faces 145° SE. Vented through SW and NW sight holes, pillar bolt photographed. 360° panorama from top.

vgc, metal cap, wide raised letters. Fine summit, lovely ascent, great view. Redstarts singing in oakwood near road - first I've heard this year.

A climb from the forest track but worth the 360 degree view. Streetmap shows the trig point in trees but it is actually on the open about 100m from forest edge.
