It should be easy to find you'd think, but it's a bit of a fight through and over low gorse and heather. It's on a little high point which enables a view to Sizewell NPS. Beware of rabbit holes. It's about 50m east of the road to Dunwich village.

Bagged walking from Southwold to Sizewell with best mate Richard Hoban. Leaving one car either end of the walk meant a great days walking under ‘Indian Summer’ skies. Thanks to 'Julianspot' below for tip about the 'Jon Steed' dedicated bench as marker to find the TP. We missed it on our first pass, although in our defence there was a couple sitting on it! Besides, the TP is much easier to spot walking S to N. Perilously close to the edge now...made me think about TP1494, Bleak House Hill - rescued by Jim Snee from imminent destruction as it stood on the site of a planned lorry park and who relocated to his front yard - at what point might someone 'rescue' this TP from coastal erosion and save it from falling into the sea?

Not to easy to spot or get to, if you don't like gorse. As you come down the road to Dunwich Common, 100 yards after you leave the trees it is on the slight mound next to the cliffs on the left. Could well disappear in the next few years as coastal erosion is between 1 and 10 foot a year, with about 20 foot to go. In fact The National Trust warn people not to go this near the cliff. Great views across part of Sole Bay to Southwold and, we a bit of movement south towards Sizewell Power Station.
