Went through the newish housing development to reach the bottom of Wilroy Gardens and turned left. After a few metres there's a mowed pathway up the rise and all the way to the pillar. Hopefully the council keep this grassy path mowed or the Trig would be a nightmare to find. A battered, faded urban survivor with no real views. Interesting to look back at previous photos from when it was in the Ordnance Survey grounds.

Easy to access from path at south western end of relatively new housing estate. Up onto mound, past Compass Point information board about birds and wildlife. About fifty metres along the ridge path on the left. Clearly visible, fading whitewash. A bit of tidying to push back encroaching vegetation. Extra points for high number and significance of being next to old O.S. site. No views but could hear ships sounding their horns in the harbour.
