Parked at windfarm entrance ESE. Along tracks to closest approach to the pillar at Laggytie then across the tussocky moor to the reedy fort containing the trig. Original cap still present.

Accessed via Dailly trails. Fantastic views at summit of both Alisa Craig to one side and Penwhapple Reservoir at the other. Very boggy at parts, luckily ground was frozen over.

Very good condition atop Maxwellton Hill. Hadyard Hill lies about 1km to the east according to the OS map. Parked in Dailly and walked up the mapped track via Craig Farm. Wet underfoot, bit of gorse thrashing but otherwise a nice walk. In a cloud most of the way so disappointingly no views from the top. The timber seat with chains on the side still present. N/S sightholes give a view of the bolt. All sightholes open but E/W obstructed. Cap present with raised lettering.

From NX 288983, drove to Faikham Rig @ NX 266985 on wind farm track. Sunday evening at 5pm - there was a parked car by the building at the track junction @ NX 281985 but no one challenged me (hopefully didn't see me)

Built without FB, metal cap, wide raised letters. Pasture, nice summit, view partly misty but the nearby wind turbines well seen! Some kind of timber seat: similarly odd seat-like object found on Barony Hill.
