Good parking on Eastern Rd, to the SW, at least at 5am. Pillar sits in a small open piece of parkland and has been painted nicely with flowers and bees. Original centre cap retained, deeply indented lettering; all sight holes look to be open - they are almost below ground level now. There is a GPS plaque indicating this is a Passive Stn, but it's not listed as such... curious.

A short walk from Lewisham station. In a public park and featuring some rather nice fancy motifs commissioned so I understand as part of a school art project.

Stroll down from Waterloo to fill a quiet morning in London.

Seems to be used as a meeting point for the many dog walkers in the park. They were very happy to move aside for a moment to let the weird bloke take some pictures!

Walk from Brockley to Peckham Rye. Hilly Fields the first revelation on that walk (the other is Blythe Hill which has amazing views). As others have said, nicely painted white with some artwork on it.

Reached the Trig Point after a grim bike ride through South London. But Hilly Fields is a lovely park with good views around. TP has been painted white (recently by the look of it) with some rather nice flowers and a bee! An information plate sternly warns against damaging the pillar!

Easy to find at the top of the park. Cycled over from the other side of SE London via the Thames Path. Currently there is a cafe behind it and it's painted cream 🙂

Walked up from Ladywell station. The pillar is still cream/white and in good condition. Pleasant coffee in the cafe as well before heading to Queen's Road Station via Telegraph lower park to return my daughter's house keys that she had forgotten after a recent visit.

Easy to find in this pleasant park. I took the train to Lewisham and it was an easy walk from there . Stone Circle nearby and a view of the Crystal Palace Transmitter. Pillar nicely painted and has all fixings.

Excellent condition - freshly painted - cream! I had to peel the masking tape off the plaques. The blue has gone... This was originally painted and stencilled ARC 001 when it was "adopted" by a New Cross record label - Angular Records, back in 2003? It was the first item in their record catalogue. My first trig here too...

To Sis#1, who lives hereabouts, for the Old Man to do some DIY. That not being my forte, I was let off to go trigging. Nice and very busy park with trig in surprisingly good condition considering its location - metal cap, deep letters, all s/holes open, remains of a lot of pale blue paint! Probably best visit in winter to enjoy good views, today obscured by the trees in full leaf, with only the Shard visible above them. Interesting stone circle / sundial adjacent - a Millenium project.

Found as YOSM 629. I was able to drive and park within 300ft of the Trig Point for an easy find. TP has had paint on it in past but good views over London from here.

Very good condition pillar in Hilly Fields park. Easy access in the midst of the park although not on the highest point. Cap present with sunken lettering, FB faces NE-ish with all sightholes open except SW-ish. OS plaque on the FB face. Blue paint mostly faded now and ARC001 grafitti still in place. Pillar surprisingly good condition considering its urban, and easily accessible, location. Slightly hemmed in views but nice vistas to the east. Nice modern stone circle about 50 yards away.

A morning of trig bagging as an antitode to the Royal Wedding. Easy find, near modern stone circle in pleasant - horse chestnut trees full of blossom - and near deserted park. vgc, OS plaque, original plug, fading blue paint, 'ARC001' grafitti. Hazy grey morning.

Last of the day. Took the Docklands Light Railway to Lewisham and worked my way south west through the residential streets to Hilly Fields Park. It was just getting dark and snowing quite heavily so I didn’t hang about for too long. A fine coat of blue paint for this primary pillar. It’s in good condition and has even managed to retain all its metalwork. Didn’t take too much notice of the views.

Yep - It's Blue! Located on what appears to be quite a nice park for this part of London. Pillar is in good condition, considering it's location, apart from a bit of graffiti, which includes some stenciled letters, even the center plug is still there!

I travelled out from central London after a meeting to bag this one. I took the train to Canary Wharf and then the Docklands Light Railway to Lewisham and walked from there. I wonder what sort of geological feature led to this hillock being created in this otherwise fairly flat area? I also wonder why blue was chosen to pain this trig. Apart from the blue colour and the little graffiti it is in reasonable condition with even the plus still intact.

I found the park quite tidy and pleasant enough for an evening stroll. Added interest is a nearby stone circle with markings to show the annual variation in the position of the sunrise. The towers of Canary Wharf loom to the north.

Painted bright blue with some graffiti. Not one of the nicest areas of town. Appears to have once been part of the GPS network but the plate lettering has now been cleaned off (probably to remove graffiti).
