To Sis#1, who lives hereabouts, for the Old Man to do some DIY. That not being my forte, I was let off to go trigging. Nice and very busy park with trig in surprisingly good condition considering its location - metal cap, deep letters, all s/holes open, remains of a lot of pale blue paint! Probably best visit in winter to enjoy good views, today obscured by the trees in full leaf, with only the Shard visible above them. Interesting stone circle / sundial adjacent - a Millenium project.

Itís in good condition and has even managed to retain all its metalwork. Didnít take too much notice of the views.

I travelled out from central London after a meeting to bag this one. I took the train to Canary Wharf and then the Docklands Light Railway to Lewisham and walked from there. I wonder what sort of geological feature led to this hillock being created in this otherwise fairly flat area? I also wonder why blue was chosen to pain this trig. Apart from the blue colour and the little graffiti it is in reasonable condition with even the plus still intact.
