No views because of the weather unfortunately but a pleasant walk none the less. 10km there and back from the North. I've never been more thankful for a shelter cairn at the top! Path in the woods was very eroded and as the rain continued it became more like I was walking down a stream than a path.

Very jealous of the views everyone else got! ©EmmaMcBride1

Parked at Bridge of Bogendreip - that was the easy part - not sure if it was an off day but this seemed like a helava trek - maps dont reflect the reality - so many pathways difficult to navigate - we missed our turn off at the cooling burn adding on unnecessary KMs and stress trying navigate up - great trig with great views - my phone also went dead - i just dont think it was my day - but i would recommend visiting - please take into consideration forest works the landscape is changing constantly.

With Craig of Dalfro - separate log. From NO 693 915 not a good start as the track after the farm house (new building going up) is non-existant and hard going thru' lush vegetation. Totally different by NO 701 897 - good, well-used vehicle track. So start at NO 699 916

Quick jaunt at end of the day on way home from bad weather in the west. Almost set off from wrong spot ( signposted "footpath") but a couple returning from a walk directed me 1 mile on to the main car park and easy ascent. Trig point has diagonal crack near FB across 2 faces. Not the most exciting of hills and the wind factory does not improve it. It was very cold so I didn't linger for the full sunset but saw the almost full moon.
