From minor road to NW on a RoW initially. Rough boggy cattle pasture. Pillar retains original top cap, raised lettering; all sight hole open. Extensive 360deg panorama. My last trig pillar on the Lleyn Peninsula.

All intact. Walked up to farm, pant-yr-eionog. Lady occupant said the path marked on the map hadn't been there for many decades but readily allowed access behind barn as the easiest route. Offered a kitten, politely declined.

Parked at the 187 spot height and hopped over the wall onto the very boggy access land. Followed the wall up. There's an unbelievably ridiculous circular prow in this field! On the descent decided to aim for the prow to the NW of the trig across the grazing field and so avoided most of the bogginess. Pillar retains original cap, a feature of most Lleyn trigs.

This isn't the easiest pillar to reach from the north. The access from the farm apparently doesn't exist according to the farmer. He suggested continuing along the lane to the none marked PRoW from the forestry. I did this went through a brand new gate in a newly built wall up the field, over a locked gate and up to the stone wall which bounds the open access land. Where there's a dip in the wall continue up to the pillar. Fantastic views all around. Had to retrace steps. I'm sure access can be made from a PRoW to the south.

God's fingers looking for me

Walked here from Cefn-Uchaf trig pillar, using the bridleway (Lon Goed) at Gaerwen Farm as a go-between. This moderate upland has a definite hint of the wild west about it. Cennin is the Welsh word for leek. Maybe I should have waited a few more weeks for St David's Day to come here.

Metal plug [raised letters]. Public. Access Land. The summit & one side of the hill preserves an area of rough moorland grass, the other is improved pasture. In the middle of otherwise unremarkable countryside, west of Bryncir. Local lanes & public footpaths probably little used. Revisited 09/04/10 for views & photos.

The pillar is sited in a partially boggy, rocky field; it has a metal cap with wide raised lettering and FB S8326. The field was reached by crossing the boggy access land from the minor road to the northwest. Bardsey Island can be seen to the southwest; in the southeast the coastline continues down Cardigan Bay; the peaks of Snowdonia lie to the east and southeast; a small part of Anglesey can be seen beyond Abermenai point to the north and the hills of the Lleyn Peninsula are to the west.
