Approched from the north along the Wychavon Way from Poplars Farm Cottage. followed the WW to where power lines cross the path, turned left and followed the powerlines to a hedge line, turned right and flollowed the hedge to the third tree. The hedge ended and the pillar was about 50 yards away inthe middle of the field

Parked off road by Poplars Farm Cottage and followed the Wychavon Way in a South Westerly direction. I turned left up a field edge and headed right, keeping to the right of the mast. No problems with rape, the pillar was completely exposed. After my previous attempt at Throckmorton, this was relatively easy1

This one took me an age to get to - 2 hours from car to Trig and back to car. Parked at the nearest decent parking spot and walked along the Wychavon Way footpath to the bottom corner of the new orchard and over wooden bridge. Then across 2 fields to the Trig. Note to self - don't attempt Trigs in the middle of a Rape Seed field when its 5 ft tall and after a rainfall. I got soaking wet getting to this one even following the tractor tracks. No real views to be seen from the Trig itself. All in ok condition. Elevation 114 meters.

I drove up the drive to the farm where there is plenty of room to park. There are five or six houses in the area and I asked at the largest one – Metchley and was told it would be fine to walk up to the trig. Tractor tracks enabled me to approach the trig without damaging the crops. Good views westwards. Purchased some free range eggs on the way back to the car.

In the centre of a vast arable field about 100 yards off a farm track. No public access so I asked at the farm, which is just off the Blossom Trail around the Vale of Evesham. It's all intact with the central plug. The top has been re-concreted and most of the gaps under the hooks have been filled in. There is also a minor repair below the flush bracket. There are good views westwards towards Malvern and Abberley across the Vale of Evesham but eastwards there is a mini concrete Millenium Dome and a mobile-phone mast. Sir Christopher Wren would not have been particularly pleased with either of them.
