Parked on the road to the north of the pillar and then took the public right of way, and then footpaths that head first east, and then south, from there up to the pillar. The pillar is in Hawthorn Bank wood

NIce cycle to get to this Trig. You can follow woodland tracks all the way up to it. No views because of the woodland around it. Not so nice cycle to get back to the car. BW to A458 is a bit bumpy in places. 33 miles to do today's 5 TP. Its the hills that are the problem.

Parked at end of road near 191 spot height and followed the path through the woods to the trig. Unfortunately, there's no view. A quick stroll further S down the lane reveals the vista towards the Clee Hills.

Parked at the end of the muddy track, followed the track to the left, east then north through the trees pillar just off the track on the left.

Parked on the roadside and walked through a glorious pine forest on the greenest moss carpet. A true sanctuary on a blustery evening just before dark.

a downpour of almost biblical proportions meant i got lazy/ cheeky and drove to within 10ft of this one. being in a forest in a thunderstorm maybe not my finest moment! pillar is in vgc though a little slimy today.. still retains a lot of white paint.

On E side of forest track, lovely open pine woods with moss floor. Cycled up the good track, path marked on map is vauge on the ground.

A good morning's ride out. Left bike at end of cul-de-sac road and walked through woods - marked footpath not evident, though wood thinning in progress and vehicle tracks all over. Returned by forest road which I could have rideen. Pillar by track but surrounded by trees.

Initially misread where I was on the map and ended up in someone's garden. Fortunately, the guy was mowing the extensive lawn on a very upmarket tractor gizmo and he redirected me to the correct path! When I walk through woodlands like this, I wonder who owns them? A lovely white-painted pillar in the conifer trees just off a forest trail. Original plug with slightly-indented letters. S/E sightholes open, others closed. No real views due to the trees.

The trig is by a well-worn track in coniferous woodland. The trees spoil the view, but have protected the pillar from the elements. Surprised my GPS worked under the tree cover.

Perfect condition, still white as well, the protectiopn of trees. Set in pleasant forest land, but a lot of trees will go soon, they have been spotted. A delightful spot.
