Still there and in an excellent condition. Met the people (house opposite) who maintain and paint the pillar. Can be regarded as well secure in their care.

Pillar in really good condition with relatively new coat of white paint and retaining its cap. The pillar is at the side of the road and there’s a few lay-bys and nearby car parks. Nice views of the rigs towards Invergordon.

Not much of a climb needed here! Easy roadside 'bag' to north of the B9163 near some houses. All fixings in place and pillar up on its plinth sporting a reasonable amount of white paint. All in good order. Pleasant views over the Cromarty Firth.

Came across this one by chance after taking the ferry across from Nigg on a whim (having seen the sign for it driving North on the A9 a few days earlier). Had to stop and reverse back along the road to get photos much to the amusement of the man cutting his lawn in the house opposite!

Have passed this trig many times heading into Cromarty. It has such an excellent view down the Firth to the town and up the Firth to the rigs and mountains.

What a lovely trig. lovely houses along here too, so jealous, I'd love to live on the seafront and maybe when I win the lottery my dream will come true and maybe I'll have my own trig in the garden!

The 4th trig point on our Black Isle mini-tour of trigs whilst en-route from Tongue to Aviemore. Located on a small mound at the roadside, very visible and easy to spot. Good views into Cromarty Firth.

Roadside pillar. Parked in entrance to grassy lane between houses opposite trig. Tertiary station pillar completed 7th November 1953 costing £19.16s.5d. On bank, north side of road, thorns needed pruning. Spider retains OS centre cap with deep indented letters. Flush bracket faces 180° (S) straight across road. Vented through east sight hole. 180° panorama across the sea from west through north to east.
