Pulled over on west side of road B1225 at start of footpath opposite High Street Farm. On foot west for about two hundred metres metres, then north along line of trees, looks like they’ve been trained. About half way to the north end of the field caught sight of the pillar in the hedge at the north boundary of the field to the east. Continued north to end of path before heading east along field boundary. Wondered if my eyes had deceived me as it was further along than it looked when I first spotted it. At pillar crossed through to north side of hedge as FB faces that way. Farmland views. Spider and cap in place. Same route back to road and knowing where the pillar is , it could be seen from the start of the footpath. Direct route would be across the field though. Needed two maps as pillar is on OS Landranger 121 but footpath starts on Landranger 122. Think this was the last pillar on 121 to visit. Worth extra point.

Hedge bound on a field boundary. Stick to North of the hedgerow for easy access to pillar itself and flush bracket.

(74) Parked up at the entrance to a private road, and walked back the way I had just driven for a few minutes until I was roadside level with the pillar hedge. Access into the field is easy enough as there is a sizable gap at that point, and a quick walk inside revealed the pillar. Nettles are in full bloom at the minute and they was nearly covering the pillar. Which is in good condition. Pillar history: Built on the 24th of June 1939, at a cost of £5 9s 3d. Last maintained by the OS in December of 1980.

Drove N past High Street Farm on right and parked on verge on left side of road next to open gap in hedge with no gate but blocked by big white stones. Best to walk up with hedge on your left, trig in the hedge and spotted easily within it. good views S.

Accessed from the Viking Way footpath, although it is just as easy to access from the nearby road. Hedgerow trig, easily visible at this time of the year. Good views from the nearby Viking Way.

Parked by FP for |Viking Way nice walk to pillar well hidden in hedge by nettles a bit of weeding and there she was.Pilar looking out over a field of broad beans.Off to Leadenham for folk festival.

Plug intact. Last two digits of the FB could almost be '7'. Pillar on N side of gappy hedge; has done well to avoid the hedge trimmer. Short detour from the Viking Way. Rain arriving...

Another easy tick. Along footpath then divert along hedge line. Both sides of hedge have strip of mown grass before crop.

Joint visit with Carole. Easy to access and relatively straight forward to find in hedge line. We parked nera High Street Farm and initially followed footpath before detouring along hedgeline to pillar. Everything in good order.

This TP can be found short distance from the Viking Way, by following a hedge where the footpath turns a right-angle. Fortunately, the flush bracket is on the north-facing side, the easier side to access. The plug is intact.
